Boys' Futsal 2025-26
DCSFA (Boys) County Futsal Cup 2025-26
The 2025-26 County Futsal Cup Finals were played at the Beacon of Light, Sunderland on Thursday 19th March 2026.
226 teams entered our competitions this season: U12 (48 teams); U13 (50); U14 (46); U15 (46) and U16 (36). To reach the final teams progressed through association competitions, regional rounds, and semi-finals that took place between October 2025 and March 2026.
U12 Monkwearmouth (Sunderland) 10-3 Durham Johnston (Bishop Auckland)
Monkwearmouth produced a dominant display to secure a 10–3 victory over Durham Johnston, with the Sunderland school showing exceptional technical quality throughout the match. From the start, Monkwearmouth controlled possession and repeatedly created chances with quick passing and intelligent movement. Many of their goals came from well-worked attacks that exposed the goalkeeper, allowing simple finishes slid across goal to the far post, a tactic that proved too effective for Durham Johnston to deal with.
The win marked another milestone for Monkwearmouth’s futsal side, as it secured their second U12 trophy and their first since the 2020–21 season. It was also their eighth victory in DCSFA Futsal history, moving them up to second place on the all-time list.

U13 St Joseph’s (South Tyneside) 12-3 Carmel (Darlington)
St Joseph’s delivered a powerful attacking performance to defeat Carmel 12–3 in a one-sided contest, with their off-ball movement and constant running causing problems throughout the game. Carmel struggled to track runners and close down space, allowing St Joseph’s to create chance after chance. The pressure told early on, and a clinical first-half display saw St Joseph’s race into a commanding 7–0 lead by the break after a series of well-worked team goals.
To their credit, Carmel showed more fight in the second half and managed to stay in the game for longer spells, but St Joseph’s attacking quality continued to shine through as they added to their tally to complete a convincing win. The victory makes history for St Joseph’s, as they become the first school to win this trophy in back-to-back seasons.

U14 St Joseph’s (South Tyneside) 9-1 Monkwearmouth (Sunderland)
St Joseph’s turned in a dominant performance as they defeated Monkwearmouth 9–1, taking control early and never looking back. A fast start saw St Joseph’s establish a strong lead, with their pace and physicality proving difficult to handle. By half-time they were 5–0 in front, having taken their chances well while keeping Monkwearmouth pinned back for long spells.
Monkwearmouth showed moments of individual quality but struggled to make a real breakthrough against a well-organised and powerful St Joseph’s side, who continued to press their advantage in the second half to complete a convincing win. The result means St Joseph’s make history as the first school to win the trophy in back-to-back seasons.

U15 Hurworth (Darlington) 7-3 St Joseph’s (South Tyneside)
Hurworth claimed a 7–3 victory over St Joseph’s in a game that took time to find its rhythm after a scruffy opening that included several infringements involving the goalkeeper rules. Once the game settled, it developed into a competitive contest with little to separate the sides in the early exchanges. St Joseph’s looked dangerous going forward, but Hurworth began to show their strength in transition, repeatedly catching their opponents on the counter-attack and taking their chances with clinical finishing.
As the game went on, Hurworth’s ability on the break proved decisive, allowing them to pull clear and secure an impressive win. The victory sees Hurworth lift the trophy for the first time since the 2020–21 season and marks their seventh County Futsal Cup success, drawing them level with Monkwearmouth School for the most wins in DCSFA Futsal history.

U16 Hurworth (Darlington) 7-3 Mortimer (South Tyneside)
Hurworth produced a clinical performance to defeat Mortimer 7–3, establishing control early in the game with a ruthless spell in front of goal. Taking their chances well, Hurworth raced into a 5–0 lead, punishing mistakes and showing far greater efficiency in attack, while Mortimer were left to rue several missed opportunities at the other end.
Mortimer threatened a comeback with a brief fightback, scoring a couple of quick goals to give themselves hope, but Hurworth quickly regained control and saw the game out comfortably to secure a deserved win. The victory sees Hurworth lift the U16 trophy for the first time since the 2019–20 season and marks their ninth County Futsal Cup success, moving them ahead of Monkwearmouth (8) as the most successful school in DCSFA Futsal history.
Thanks to all those who played a part in ensuring this was an enjoyable experience for all.
