  • Philip was a member of the DCSFA U15 squad that played several friendly matches in 1997-98 but he did not play for the U16 team in the Northern Counties.
  • His all-round sporting ability enabled him to become a leading wicketkeeper in County cricket.
  • Durham CCC 2002-16 -- Played in Durham's Division 1 County Championship winning sides of 2008, 2009 and 2013 plus the Friends Provident Trophy in 2007 and Royal London One Day Cup in 2014. Captain of Durham CCC from 2010 to 2012.
  • Lancashire CCC 2015 (loan)
  • Gloucestershire CCC 2016 (loan) then signed for Gloucestershire in 2017.

International honours (Cricket): Made 3 appearances for England U19s in 2000. Made his England ODI debut v Sri Lanka in 2007 and has played in 10 ODIs. Played in two T20Is v New Zealand in 2008.
